Dr. Suzanne D. Lady is an associate professor and prior chair of the Department of Clinical Education at the University of Western States. She is the current chair of the Doctor of Chiropractic Assessment Committee. She is the lead instructor for Clinic Training Phase labs, History Taking and Communication Skills lecture/lab and manages the Clinical Skills Enhancement Center (CSEC) remediation program in the Doctor of Chiropractic program. She also volunteers as a facilitator for the Mind-Body Medicine elective modeled after the Georgetown School of Medicine program.
She has been in practice for 17 years, earning her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1997 from Western States Chiropractic College, where she was the recipient of the Award for Clinical Excellence. Previously, she had received her BA in exercise science, sociology and psychology from the University of Arizona where she competed in NCAA PAC-10 intercollegiate athletics winning the Women’s College World Series in fast pitch softball in 1991. While at the U of A Dr. Lady was honored as a National Strength and Conditioning Association All-American.
Dr. Lady in an avid athlete, adventurer, aspiring fly fisher woman and runner. Her scholarly interests include discoveries in neuroscience, chronic pain states, how the mind-body connection alleviates disease and suffering and the psychology of performance.
