Jennifer Babich holds an undergraduate degree in Sports Medicine and is a distinguished graduate of the University of Western States with a degree in Human Nutrition & Functional Medicine. Shortly after earning her degree, she joined UWS as a course facilitator. Jennifer also imparts her expertise in Nutrition Counseling and Nutrition Across the Lifecycle as a faculty member in the Nutrition Science Department at Purdue University (Global).
Jennifer's primary passion lies in gut health, with a special focus on the gut-brain axis. She is currently in the process of publishing a comprehensive review on the impact of polyphenol-rich diets on depressive disorders. In addition to her academic pursuits, Jennifer leads 10-week gut repair programs that incorporate functional medicine techniques, aiming to restore both the mental and physical well-being of participants.
In 2016, Jennifer authored her first book-a 555-page exploration of fundamental nutrition concepts that is both educational and entertaining.
Outside of her professional life, Jennifer finds tranquility in nature, enjoys experimenting with new recipes, and is often found savoring a kombucha with a thick slice of sourdough
