Biography

Jacey Coy holds a Doctorate of Psychology with a concentration in Couple and Family Therapy from Alliant International University as well as a Master's Degree in Communication Studies from Texas State University. He is also a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and has extensive clinical experience working in outpatient, inpatient, substance use, nonprofit, and hospital settings.

In terms of his teaching experience, Dr. Coy has taught at the college level for over 16 years, teaching 20+ different mental health courses in multiple disciplines, including Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Counseling, and Human Development. As a doctoral student, he was awarded the highly competitive Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Minority Fellowship Program through the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) in 2010 and 2011. Dr. Coy lives in Tucson, AZ with his wife, four children, and 2 dogs.
