Who can join the UWS Switchboard?

Alumni, students, employees and friends of University of Western States are invited to join.

Individuals or clinics not currently connected with UWS: Fill out this quick posting to UWS form to have your opportunity potentially posted to the UWS Switchboard community. Interested parties will be instructed to contact you directly.

Due to recent policy changes, UWS is no longer sharing housing opportunities on our community platform. Consider posting your housing offers on CraigslistZillowPadMapper and other external housing platforms. Please note these websites are not controlled or endorsed by UWS.

Why should I join Switchboard?

Switchboard has something for everyone!

For alumni and friends of UWS, Switchboard is a trusted community to get help when you need it, find your next associate or partner and offer opportunities and advice to the next generation of integrated health care practitioners.

For students, Switchboard is a community of your future colleagues. Join for shadowing opportunities, jobs, mentorship and advice.

For employees, Switchboard is an easy way to help members of the UWS community connect with resources, opportunities and meaningful relationships.

What makes a good Switchboard post?

A good Switchboard post is an ask or an offer that is genuine, friendly and actionable. Actionable posts invite you to take some sort of action, like share advice or resources, meet for coffee, hire someone or collaborate on a project.

Here are some examples of great asks and offers.

Will my personal information be private?

Yes. Switchboard requires very little information to create your account, and your email address can only be seen by the Switchboard administrators and moderators in UWS office of alumni relations.

Will I get notified if someone comments on my post?

Yes. You will receive an email and/or an in-app notification whenever someone interacts with your post by commenting, hearting or sending a private message.

How do I manage my email settings?

After you’re logged in, click on “settings” in the drop-down menu in the top-right corner. Then select the activities you’d like to be notified about. If you’d like to change the email address you have connected to Switchboard, click on “update email” at the top of the page.

Can I sell my practice on the UWS Switchboard?

Yes. Switchboard is the perfect place for members of the UWS community to sell their practices. However, practice brokers are not invited to post on the UWS Switchboard.

What should I do if I see spam or other inappropriate content on the UWS Switchboard?

Please click the report button at the bottom of the post if you see spam or other inappropriate content posted on Switchboard. A report will go to the site administrators for further review.

The UWS Switchboard is a moderated space. All posts, comments and messages should be civil, kind and genuine. For more information, check out our Community Standards.

CAN I USE SWITCHBOARD ON MY MOBILE PHONE?

Switchboard is easily usable on your favorite mobile browser. Anything you can do on your desktop, you can do on your phone.
