Alumni Finder Map

The office of alumni relations receives requests asking to connect our alums to potential referrals, as well as requests to provide opportunities for alumni to connect with other UWS alumni in their local area. To make it easier to find a UWS alum, this easy-to-use map was created!

Community-Based Clinical Education (CBI, Preceptorship, VA Clerkship)

Community-Based Clinical Education (CBCE) is a distributed model of teaching and learning where students gain real-world, diverse, and rigorous clinical experiences. With a distributed network, students can engage in clinical immersions in many different health systems and geographic regions.

CBCE is an umbrella term, encompassing community-based internships (CBI), preceptorships, clerkships (e.g., within the Veteran’s Administration, or VA), and all other forms of external practice-based learning available to qualified senior chiropractic interns.

The Doctor of Chiropractic Program (DCP) is a twelve (12) academic quarter program. Starting in quarter 10, qualified senior chiropractic interns can begin their community-based placement. Prior to this experience, senior interns have completed at least two academic quarters in DCP-managed sites. Visit the Clinical Internship page and learn more about clinical experiences at UWS here.

Refer a Student

Student referrals are one of the most important ways our alumni and friends can give back. Because of that we consider our student referrers to be the cornerstone of our university. Our Cornerstone Society is a community network that is a critical part of how talented professionals find their way to UWS programs.

Do you know someone who is interested in learning more about a UWS program? Share with them information about UWS programs. Have them submit their information in the request information form and our admissions team will reach out to them.

Learn more about the Cornerstone Society and how to refer students.

Please email the office of alumni relations at alumni@test.uws.edu if you have questions.
